Diesel brand is becoming as toxic as the emissions it produces

Responding to the SMMT’s announcement that cars sales have fallen for the fourth month in a row Areeba Hamid, clean air campaigner for Greenpeace UK, said:

“The sharp rise in sales of electric vehicles is a clear sign to Government that they need to accelerate plans to phase out diesel, and to car makers that they need to invest in cleaner technologies instead of lobbying for weaker standards and gaming tests.”

“The diesel brand is becoming as toxic as the emissions it produces so now people know the truth about dirty diesel, they’re ditching it fast.”
