Two days ago, we revealed that the maker of Head & Shoulders, Procter & Gamble, was buying palm oil from companies trashing Indonesia's rainforests. It thinks this is sustainable. It's not.
When we put our allegations to P&G, it claimed to be "committed to the sustainable sourcing of palm oil" and "strongly opposed to irresponsible deforestation".

It shows active forest clearance by an Indonesian palm oil producer that supplies palm oil to P&G for use in products like Head & Shoulders, Gillette and Pantene. It doesn't look very sustainable to me.
P&G has a problem, but it's trying to pretend there's nothing wrong. Even as your emails were flooding in, Head & Shoulders was trying to distract everyone by tweeting about its Damage Repair shampoo.
Pity it can't repair the damage that its palm oil suppliers have done to the rainforest.
P&G can't ignore us for ever. Over one hundred thousand of us have emailed the head of P&G, demanding the company take action.
If you haven't already, let P&G know that forest destruction like this isn't "sustainable".
