Ice stories, in glorious colour

An iceberg made of hard, dense ice reflects late evening light

Oooh, this is gorgeous. I know some of Nick Cobbing's photographs pretty well (he's done a fair bit of work for Greenpeace in the past) but, on the advice of our picture editor, I went to have a nose around his website where he's organised some of his photos into stories.
Lovely stuff - and well worth a look if you're interested in photography, Greenland, Tibet or ship travels. In Ice stories, Nick documents a Greenpeace expedition to Greenland to research the impacts of climate change. Of the photo above, he writes:
We spotted this berg from a distance through binoculars and it just glowed, radiating a blue-green amongst white bergs in the distance. The captain agreed to give us an hour to put a boat in and check it out. The decision justified as we neared it, a berg like a glass castle, hiding its transparency amongst its more regular cousins at the back of the fjord.
Enjoy.
