Glastonbury in pictures

The tents are down, the wellies are drying out and the mayhem is over. Here are a few of our favourite pics from Glastonbury 2007 (you can see lots more on Flickr):

car sharing
when is car sharing, particually for people who live in the same town and travel to the same place of work going to be discussed, you only have to look at the cars at peak times and count the number of occupants!!
i believe in the (some states ?) usa cars with only 1 occupant are only allowed to travel in the slow lane, thus encouraging car sharing
what do you think??

Car sharing = good
I think it's a great idea and several London boroughs have set up their own car clubs. I think there was a central government plan to have lanes only for cars with two or more passengers, but I'm not sure what's happened to that.
Glastonbury organisers were keen to make festival goers use other modes of transport and put policies in place to encourage it, like limited car park passes and tickets that could only be bought if you traveled by bus. Still, it didn't stop the usual 9-hour jams on the way out...
