Biofuels protests planned across the UK
Posted by jamie on 28 January 2008.
The guys at Biofuelwatch have been cooking up a week of protests around (what else?) biofuels. Like us, they're concerned about the rising demand for biodiesel etc and the implications that has for the climate, as well as deforestation, food prices and a host of other related issues.
The designated week actually kicked off on Saturday but there are plenty more events planned for the rest of the week. There's one in London this Wednesday outside the offices of Greenergy, one of the biggest biofuel companies in the country and there are other demos planned from Axminster to Edinburgh, Norwich to Teesside.
Full details are available on the Biofuelwatch website, and if there isn't one in your area they offer plenty of resources and ideas for you to set up your own.
